Starting A New Thread

We understand that the Forum may look intimidating to new people.  We certainly do not mean it to be so.  RAKScraps is a warm, welcoming community of wonderful women (we do tend to be primarily women, although there is no protocol suggesting that men cannot join in!), and we would like you to feel right at home.  A Member's first post is most likely to be in the "Hello! Welcome!  Glad to Meet You" Forum. 

To start a new thread and introduce yourself, please click on the forum title:  Hello! Welcome! Glad to Meet You!

Then Click:  New Thread

Here you wil title your thread (One caution, the title cannot be edited afterwards).  Then place your cursor in the text box area, and type your message.  Click:  Submit New Thread.  That's it.

If you wish to add a few things to your thread, you may, there are icons you can add to the title (see area below the text box).  There are many Smilies you can add to the body of your text (see right hand side of text box).  And to insert an image from the web into your post - you can click on the little icon above the text box (yellow, with a picture of the mountains and a sun) - and then paste the URL of the image as it exists on the web.  Or you can insert a link to another part of RAKScraps (links off of RAKScraps are not allowed - but links to your Gallery are) - by using the hyperlink (Earth with a chain link) button.  We will cover these options more thoroughly in another tutorial, if you are unfamiliar with them.
